The first domestic V4 Biochar platform, which is part of the activities of the Czech University of Life Sciences Prague, has launched. The platform offers a unique opportunity to connect all subjects and individuals interested in the use, research and production of biochar. This biochar, obtained via pyrolysis, is an important and promising element in addressing current global challenges, such as the negative impacts of drought and manifestations of soil erosion. The platform connects domestic experts with the international scene with an emphasis on the Visegrád Four countries and provides information services to its members and the public. Among other things, it aims at unifying scientific potential, connecting workplaces with the international scene, facilitating the preparation of projects, but primarily aims to accelerate the journey of biochar into the soil.
