Use of biochar
BIOCHAR AS FEED
If the biochar achieves high quality and exhibits constant properties, it can be used as feed raw material. It can be administered to animals independently or as an integral part of the feed. Many studies have shown that the addition of biochar to farm animal feed has positive (in some cases only neutral) effects on:
- increased food intake,
- increase in animal weight,
- increase in feed efficiency,
- increasing poultry egg production and quality,
- strengthening the immune system of animals,
- improving the quality of meat and milk,
- odour reduction,
- reduced veterinary costs,
- reducing mortality,
- post-partum stabilization in cattle,
- overall improvement in health and appearance.
